California Mulls Over Penalties For Teenagers Who Ski Without Ski Helmets
Sacremento law makers are considering a proposal from Senator Leland Yee to fine parents of children who ski without helmets. The fine is part of a bill introduced this year.
A study showing that kids ski helmets can cut the risk of head injury by fifty percent inspired Sen Lee to draft the bill.
The proposed bill is not without its opponents. Private choice and freedom and the role of Government in personal lives was on the mind Republican Tom Harman, who opposes the bill.
